Increases Announced for January 2, 2017

December 22, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Brighton, MN -- James Morse, Vice President of Pricing for LME, issued the following open letter to LME customers announcing rate increases to be effective January 2, 2017.

Dear Valued Customer:

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your customers, and for choosing LME as your transportation provider.

Due to increased rise in the cost of recruiting, training and retaining qualified drivers along with the rise in technology, insurance costs, and equipment, LME will be taking a general rate increase. LME continues to re-invest in these very important areas of our business so we may offer the quality service you have come to expect.

LME will take a general rate increase of 3.65% effective January 2nd, 2017. We will accomplish this by decreasing the discount and increasing our minimum charges and commodity rates rather than increase the LME base rate.

If you have any questions, please contact your local LME Account Executive. Thank you for your business and continued support.

Sincerely,

James E. Morse
