FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lakeville Motor Express Under New Ownership

December 21, 2009

New Brighton, MN – LME, Inc., a long time leader in the Minnesota and Upper Midwest transportation community, has been sold to Roger D. Wilsey Sr and Shari K. Taylor Wilsey. Mr. Wilsey, who joined the company in 2001, was LME’s vice president of administration and corporate compliance. Roger will assume the position of chief executive officer.

LME, or LME as it is commonly known from the large letters displayed on its equipment, has been owned and operated by the Wren family for 88 years. Founded in Lakeville, MN in 1921, LME has grown from a one truck operation serving local farming communities to a 10-state, 34 terminal, Upper Midwest less-than truckload (LTL), truckload and supply chain freight services company. LME also provides seamless, North American freight services, with a single source of accountability, through The Reliance Network alliance.

Departing CEO John Wren, in a letter to employees, commented that “through the hard work and dedication of all of our past and present employees, LME stands as a true success story in the history pages of the LTL trucking industry.”

The incoming owners are no strangers to the Midwest motor carrier community. The Wilsey family owned and operated Indianhead Truck Lines for over 65 years until it ceased operations in 1997.

Founded in 1921, LME provides regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services in ten Upper Midwest states. Based in New Brighton, MN, LME serves a diverse customer base through a system of 34 terminals and a fleet of over 900 tractors and trailers. Beyond the Midwest region, LME offers its customers seamless, across the continent, LTL, truckload and supply chain freight services, with a single source of accountability, through The Reliance Network alliance.

New Brighton, MN – Randall-Reilly Publishing's Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ) recently presented LME with its 5th annual Innovator of the Year Award. This award recognizes carriers for innovative management practices including operational efficiency, use of information technology, customer relations, maintenance practices, recruitment or retention and safety.

LME received the award for its leadership in "the development of a bold transportation network".

On March 1, 2008, LME joined with five other LTL carriers to form The Reliance Network. This unique arrangement allows each of the individual carriers to provide seamless nationwide and international LTL, truckload and supply chain freight services. In addition to extremely competitive service standards, The Reliance Network offers customers advanced information technology, including end-to-end shipment visibility, unparalleled operational flexibility and standardized administrative processes.

LME's CEO John Wren commented on the award: "We're really honored by this recognition. Our customers are able to expand their reach through the Network and the Network's operational flexibility and IT advantages alone make us tough competitors. Of course, when you're able to prove the concept by providing good service then everyone starts to take notice."

Accepting the award this past February on behalf of LME was our president, Pete Martin. [Pete retired this past March after 45 years serving our industry.] CCJ's Innovator of the Year program is sponsored by PeopleNet, Castrol and J.J. Keller.
